When I was a child there was plenty to walk in
they didn’t feel then that it was a sin
Dog walkers today are more aware
most use the bin to show how they care

What I am struggling to know
is to what lengths they do go
To leave those offerings, hanging there
blowing in the wind, with nary a care

Did they feel the need to protest
or decide that place was the best
Procuring the bag, gathering the poo
for some not enough for them to do

We’re they thinking they’d be kind
creating a space so defined
By bags of Shog Dit
hanging there on a spit

What goes through the mind
of those so inclined
As they tie off the knot
thinking ‘That holds a lot!’
